Among the cities with the largest supply on the residential real estate<\/a> market, provincial capitals continue to dominate. The ranking of demand for home purchases in the fourth quarter of 2025, published by Idealista, is once again topped by Madrid<\/a>, while the top ten is as follows (with the average home price indicated):<\/p>\n

    The ranking includes a total of 146 localities in which the housing market had more than 1,000 listings published during the quarter under analysis, while average prices exceeded \u20ac1,000\/m2.<\/p>\n

    What the top thirty looks like<\/h2>\n

    Up to 30th place in the ranking, provincial capitals share positions almost evenly with other cities across the country: Valladolid (11), Seville (12), A Coru\u00f1a (14), San Sebasti\u00e1n (15), Santander (17), Bilbao (18), Oviedo (20), Tarragona (22), Palma (24), Almer\u00eda (27), Lleida (29), and Alicante<\/a> (30).<\/p>\n

    Alicante province is the leader by number of municipalities in the ranking<\/h2>\n

    Alicante province has the largest number of municipalities in this list of relative demand for home purchases \u2013 28. In addition to its capital, notable places include El Campello (41), Gran Alacant (57), and Elche (60), as well as other, more tourist-oriented destinations: Santa Pola<\/a> (73), Benidorm<\/a> (94), and D\u00e9nia<\/a> (95).<\/p>\n

    Some of the localities in this province included in the list are characterized by prices exceeding one million euros; in particular, Moraira<\/a> (1 486 020), Benissa (1 364 920), Benitachell (1 210 106), and Altea (1 205 688).<\/p>\n

    M\u00e1laga and other expensive destinations<\/h2>\n

    Another province with a significant number of cities represented in this ranking is M\u00e1laga<\/a> \u2013 15. Alongside the capital of the Costa del Sol, the most notable localities include Alhaur\u00edn de la Torre (55), Torremolinos (62), Rinc\u00f3n de la Victoria (71), Benalm\u00e1dena (81), and Manilva (86). The ranking also includes Benahav\u00eds and Marbella, two of the three municipalities with the highest housing prices in Spain: \u20ac2 422 040 and \u20ac1 773 743 respectively.<\/p>\n

    Among other localities with the highest prices and relatively strong demand are Santa Eul\u00e0ria des Riu in Ibiza (2 186 360), Calvi\u00e0 in Mallorca (1 740 995), and Sotogrande<\/a> in C\u00e1diz (1 696 781).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
