According to a study by Grupo Tecnitasa, a property consultancy and valuation firm, the average price of a luxury home in the province of Alicante exceeds €2 million, and the price per square metre is €3,913. Both figures vary considerably from one municipality to another.
The study is based on data the company has recorded on homes worth more than €1.5 million across Spain since January 2018, and its findings can be taken as representative of the “premium” (€1.5 to 3 million), “luxury” (€3 to 10 million) and “super-luxury” (over €10 million) markets. Grupo Tecnitasa is one of the largest valuation groups in Spain by turnover and works with all the banks. In the last two years alone it has issued more than 1,500 valuation reports on luxury homes with a total value of over €5.2 million.
The most affordable “premium” luxury homes are on sale in Altea (€1.52 million and €2,708/m²), El Campello (€1.53 million and €4,447/m²), Benissa (€1.72 million and €4,016/m²), Orihuela (€1.94 million and €3,850/m²) and La Nucía (€1.99 million and €3,132/m²).
