Marbella once again confirms its established reputation as one of the world’s largest centres for luxury real estate. Grupo Armani has chosen this city on the Costa del Sol to develop its first residential project in Spain – the exclusive ultra-luxury complex Armani Residences Marbella. It will be built by Sierra Blanca Estates together with Palya Assets in the very heart of the Golden Mile and will mark a new qualitative leap for the segment of branded residences in Andalusia.
A complex on the Golden Mile
The complex will occupy one of the last large private plots available on the Golden Mile between Marbella and Puerto Banús. The project, located on a 50,000-square-metre site and surrounded by nature, will consist of only 33 residences distributed across several buildings and designed to guarantee privacy, space and exclusivity. At the same time, the first sales phase will be limited to just ten homes.
Demand for luxury housing in Marbella
The developer says that the boom in Marbella is not a passing trend, but a structural transformation of the luxury housing market. Foreign demand continues to grow and still significantly exceeds the available supply – especially when it comes to unique projects of the highest quality.
The city is now perceived not only as a tourist destination, but also as a place to live, and this completely changes the type of clients who come here. Many buyers are not simply planning to spend a few months in Marbella, but to live here for most of the year.
The concept of Armani Residences Marbella
The project will be inspired by the classic values associated with the world of Armani: balance, harmony and understated sophistication. It will combine modern architecture, interiors by Armani/Casa and close integration with the Mediterranean landscape. The complex will also include areas focused on wellbeing and a healthy lifestyle: a spa centre, a gym, a private club and personalised services for residents.
For former tennis player Rafael Nadal, partner at Palya Assets, the project has special symbolic significance due to his historical ties with the Italian brand. Nadal recalls that he had already collaborated with Armani at the beginning of his sporting career and believes that this project fully shares values connected with sport, health and the Mediterranean lifestyle.
Construction timeline and other projects
Construction work on Armani Residences Marbella will begin this summer, presumably in June, after the licence is obtained, while completion is scheduled for 2028.
Meanwhile, Sierra Blanca continues to move forward with the rest of its branded residences on the Costa del Sol. The Karl Lagerfeld project will begin delivering its first villas this summer, Fendi has already strengthened its position as one of the most sought-after projects in Marbella, and Dolce & Gabbana continues to maintain a strong sales pace in one of the largest luxury residential complexes currently under construction in Spain.
